I got nothin' so have some bullets & a video

  • Today is the 7th day S has been on the set of Flipped with the '61 Impala.
  • Last night while on the set, I watched Callan McAuliffe chase fireflies.
  • He's Australian.
  • And adorable.
  • But so is Madeline Carroll.
  • Enough about Flipped.
  • Basset Boy Bart is coming for another visit on Sunday.
  • I'll have camera ready in case Russ does his little girl bark again.
  • It really is quite funny.
  • I hate my job.
  • I'm knitting up a storm.
  • Kitchen stuff mostly.
  • Hand towels and dish rags.
  • Socks next.
  • Haven't touched my sewing machine in weeks.
  • Haven't read a lot either.
  • But!
  • Mackinac Island is fast approaching.
  • I leave on Sunday the 26th.
  • But!
  • Have to make it through next week at work before then.
  • Pray I don't strangle someone.
  • Or tell a customer to take a flying leap.
  • Because?
  • I hate my job.
  • Maybe I can go work in the movies.
  • Speaking of which.
  • Whip It! is being released October 9.
  • Have a peek here.

Basset Boy

His name is Bart.
He's 4.
He's affectionate, likes to lay on the couch, sleep in the bed, and ride in the car.
He'll be staying with me from the end of July until some time in October.

The meet-n-greet went well. Russ was a bit excited, barking a very high-pitched (and quite annoying) bark. I don't know what this bark means exactly but it didn't seem to phase Bart at all.

We're going to have a few more meet-n-greets before E leaves for Boot Camp so the transition to my house will be easier on Basset Boy Bart. (By the way, we think he's named Bart after Bart Starr -- I'll try to confirm this.)

This is going to be so much fun.

Good things come to those who wait

This little guy's human dad, E, is joining the Marines at the end of the month. S, knowing that my heart's desire is for a Basset Hound of my own, volunteered me to dog sit while E is in basic training. (God, I love that man.)

If you remember this post you'll understand that I cannot convey in this post the excitement I am feeling right now.

We're having a meet-n-greet on Wednesday to make sure Basset (I don't even know his name!) and Russ get along before fully committing to keep him during E's absence. Send good thoughts my way, would you?
