Felt like hell when I woke up this morning. Called in and stayed home.
Sat on my couch and thought please don't get sick thoughts all day.
I think it worked. I'm feeling much better now.
But it's 12:37 Tuesday morning and I'm not in bed yet.
Tomorrow is going to suck, I'm sure. The day after a sick day, the work has piled up...you know the drill.
Anyway. That's not the point of this post.
The point is this:
I didn't get to see the Superbowl commercials.
I've mentioned before that I don't have cable TV. I have an antenna. The CBS affiliate was never a good signal to receive analog but at least I could watch through snow (both precipitation and bad signal).
Last night I got nothing from CBS except 'No Signal' floating on a sea of black.
My conclusion with digital TV is this: aside from the extra channels it provides, I was much better off with analog signal.
I mean, come on. My TV is 20 years old, ffs. DIGITAL TV DID NOT IMPROVE IT'S PERFORMANCE.
Bring back the analog. I wanna kick it old-school up in this bitch.

You didn't miss much in the commercial-department this year, I promise. Lots of complaining about women: http://www.buzzfeed.com/scott/misogynistic-super-bowl-ads
You didn't miss much - but that doesn't make it any easier to tolerate the lack of signal when you would enjoy having one.
Yep, you didn't miss much this year for Super Bowl commercials. I actually fell asleep at the beginning of the 4th, but I'm blaming my virus for that.
Hope you stay well. This endless winter is getting to people's health and nerves. Keep cheery, heh.
I didn't get to see them either. In the UK, they always cut them out and give us homegrown, boring adverts. Poot.
