Thrifty Thursday

Once again, inspired by Martha MacGuyver, here's my Thrifty Thursday find:

Not sure if this apron itself is vintage or not, but I think the pattern is. Anyone know? The lapels and the front piece are what lead me to think it's an older pattern.

Don't know why this came out so dark. Regardless, if you look closely, you can see the pocket.

Here are some other thrift finds:

(left to right: white knotty bedspread, vintage pillowcases, linen curtain panel, vintage sheet. On the back of the couch is a double-layer lap blanket and a 'barbeque' apron. Don't think the apron is vintage but thought it would be great to wear at the cottage.)

That's it. Lots of good stuff for cheap. Love the thrift stores!

Thrifty Thursday (totally stolen from Martha MacGyver)

Yeah, I'm totally unoriginal today. So much so that I got the idea for this post straight from Wendy over at Martha MacGyver. I was wondering how I was going to work this into a blog post and when I saw her post, I knew this was it!

So, without further ado...

My apron:
I found this cutie at the local Value World. Was looking for tea towels, but found this gem instead.
With one pocket generous enough to hold a hot pad, I'm envisioning heavy use of this apron at Christmas time. So festive!

Not bad for 60¢.
