Thrifty Thursday

Picked this little doily-type thing a few weeks ago.

This little spot on the right side is a drop of condensation from the Bushmills & water I was drinking. hee! Must be more careful in future.

All the little hand-made flowers are attached with snaps. The petals and the centers of the flowers are not attached (obviously since it's missing a set of petals!).


Super cheap at $1.50. I think I'm going to eventually put it under my flower lamp.

Thrifty Thursday: Vintage Vogue

Oh, people. Yummy vintage pattern finds this week!

Found these at a local antique market. Vogue Pattern 9770 is the dress. Vogue Pattern 6059 is the CUTE nightgown and robe.



Aren't these sketches adorable? These alone are worth the buck I paid for it. (No pictures of the back of the dress pattern because the sketches aren't all that.)

Here's hoping that if I ever get around to sewing these up the darned things fit!

Thrifty Thursday and a new 'do.

Got my hair cut yesterday. Had her take about an inch and a half off of what I already considered short hair.

It's shorter and easier.

Thrifty Thursday

Once again, inspired by Martha MacGuyver, here's my Thrifty Thursday find:

Not sure if this apron itself is vintage or not, but I think the pattern is. Anyone know? The lapels and the front piece are what lead me to think it's an older pattern.

Don't know why this came out so dark. Regardless, if you look closely, you can see the pocket.

Here are some other thrift finds:

(left to right: white knotty bedspread, vintage pillowcases, linen curtain panel, vintage sheet. On the back of the couch is a double-layer lap blanket and a 'barbeque' apron. Don't think the apron is vintage but thought it would be great to wear at the cottage.)

That's it. Lots of good stuff for cheap. Love the thrift stores!
