Christmas was fine.

I gave some good loot and got some in return.

Today I bought myself some new house slippers (similar to these but NOT Ugg brand) and a Turtle Fur cap (except mine is 'plum').

Merry Christmas to me, eh?

Road trippin'

Going on a road trip with my brother for the rest of the week.

30 Books

Goal achieved.

I hit 30 books in just under 11 months (this doesn't include the books I re-read over the summer, of which there were probably five or six).

I'll keep reading - I'm curious to see how many I can finish by the end of the year.

Tools

The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and the thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all its own: for the children, and the children yet unborn. And the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.
