Disappointing

It is the end of February and I've only read 4 books so far. 36 to go if I'm to meet my goal this year.

I guess I'm in a reading slump.

The Monday After Superbowl Sunday

Felt like hell when I woke up this morning. Called in and stayed home.

Sat on my couch and thought please don't get sick thoughts all day.

I think it worked. I'm feeling much better now.

But it's 12:37 Tuesday morning and I'm not in bed yet.

Tomorrow is going to suck, I'm sure. The day after a sick day, the work has piled up...you know the drill.

Anyway. That's not the point of this post.

The point is this:

I didn't get to see the Superbowl commercials.

I've mentioned before that I don't have cable TV. I have an antenna. The CBS affiliate was never a good signal to receive analog but at least I could watch through snow (both precipitation and bad signal).

Last night I got nothing from CBS except 'No Signal' floating on a sea of black.

My conclusion with digital TV is this: aside from the extra channels it provides, I was much better off with analog signal.

I mean, come on. My TV is 20 years old, ffs. DIGITAL TV DID NOT IMPROVE IT'S PERFORMANCE.

Bring back the analog. I wanna kick it old-school up in this bitch.

Nothin' doin'

I am boring, people.

Nothing new is happening.

Nothing interesting is happening.

I do miss being in school. I think. Maybe I miss it because life is pretty dull at the moment. What with the working and the grey skies and the cold.

Still knitting. Finishing up a scarf for a pal's birthday. Have about 35 rows to go, then have to block it.

I'm taking a crochet class tonight. That should be fun!

Is it too early for spring cleaning? Maybe it's cabin fever I'm feeling. Either way, I'm in the mood to down-size my belongings. I'm going to have a huge clear-out this month. I was thinking I might have a yard sale. S's house is in a great location and would get a lot of traffic. Or maybe I'll donate it all and be done with it.

Who else out there watches the Super Bowl ONLY for the ads? It's the one time of year that I occupy myself during the broadcast and stop what I'm doing to watch the commercials. Heh.
