I gave up beef for Lent and haven't gone back to it. I've not had a hamburger/steak/beef hotdog since FEBRUARY.
Every once in a while the urge for a slab of beef is large. Like today.
Oh. I gave up lamb, too. And I LOVE a good Greek Omelet*.
*This picture is of the EXACT Greek Omelet I was dreaming of when I typed this. It's from the Wolverine Restaurant in Ypsilanti and I used to stuff my pie hole as often and as fast as I could with the yummy deliciousness that is their Greek Omelet. Except I would get french fries instead of the hash-brown/American fries.
Why do I torture myself so?

Oh damn you! That cheeseburger looks so good, I'm actually considering loading up a cranky toddler and going out for one now.
I had a very yummy Angus burger last night, with mozzarella and American cheese. I may have to have another tonight!
I don't even eat burgers that often and it looks good!
And how is it possible that I lived over there for 10 years and never ate at the Wolverine Restaurant?? We ate at Tower Inn quite frequently, though. Mmmmm. j
OK-you are a woman, and you still have visits from "Aunt Flow", right?
You need to eat beef at least once a week, to replenish your iron.
At least that's my story and I am sticking to it!! LOL!!
What's IN a Greek omelet?
