Vacation Crash and Burn

Vacation plans for April have been canceled for me. S is probably still going to go as the first leg of the trip was a jaunt to visit his website designer. The second bit of the trip was to visit friends who live along the route home.

While it is my job that is keeping me home, I'm not nearly as disappointed as I thought I'd be at canceling my vacation. I had requested, and was granted, two weekends in a row off from my part-time job. Maybe I'll finally have some time to get work done around my house.

Oh no! I'm sorry you aren't going. Spring out east might have been nice, especially the visiting friends part.

Speaking of jobs - see the Tweet I posted just about the time you were posting this. Gaahh! Although we shouldn't complain about being employed - I'm still complaining!

And "getting things done around the house" is a conundrum. I think we'd all rather read, or bake something yummy, or sit in the sun...but "housework" has to get done. *Sigh*

Oh, Tuli. I understand that it would be nice to get some things done around the house - but traveling together is nice, too. BTW - I was on my Mac with the big screen last night and I popped your avatar up to full size.

I now realize you're NOT a blind person sitting there with a dog at your feet.

aw. Well, maybe you could get some stuff done around the house and plan some kind of fun little staycation things to do. :)

Sorry you have to miss your vacation. Even if you're not too worried about it, it must be disappointing!

Especially since you'll be working.

Well, while the vacation cancellation sucks, at least you get two entire weekends off. ;-)

Sometimes stay-cations are just as good. I'm sorry you couldn't go with, though.
