Vintage at the Drive-in

Date: Friday, October 17, 2008
Location: Capri Drive-In, Coldwater, Michigan
Transportation: '61 Impala
Purpose: For the fun of it.

Much to our disappointment the marquee lights weren't on when we took our pics. They came on after dark and only stayed on for about 15 minutes.

Screen 1 - no playground like at Miss Night Owl's local drive-in.

The movies playing that evening were not what we'd normally go to a theater to see.

But this trip wasn't about the movie.

It was about taking this car on a two-hours-one-way road trip to this drive-in.

And we had a fabulous time.

I totally remember going to see "Baby, Secret of the Lost Legend" at a drive-in up north with a friend and her parents...LOVE the drive-ins!

Yay! It's finally up! Awesome pictures and awesome car!

Your drive-in may not have a playground, but it looks much nicer and cleaner than my drive-in. With the car, the marquee, and S's clothes, it could totally be 1961!

Our drive-in does at least one big classic car show each summer so the Impala would fit right in.

Here in Germany the Drive-In's called the Auto Kino.

But nobody looks as cool in their Mercedes and BMWs as you guys in your '61 Impala...

Oh. That is just awesome.

To make it perfect? I hope you ate some Little Debbie Oatmeal cookies. That's what I always ate as a kid at the drive-thru. :)

Awesome.

Who the hell is that old man by the car with the scowl? Looks like the the scary old dude down the street from us when we were kids-- would always bark at us to get off his lawn. Bastard.
