Good things come to those who wait

This little guy's human dad, E, is joining the Marines at the end of the month. S, knowing that my heart's desire is for a Basset Hound of my own, volunteered me to dog sit while E is in basic training. (God, I love that man.)

If you remember this post you'll understand that I cannot convey in this post the excitement I am feeling right now.

We're having a meet-n-greet on Wednesday to make sure Basset (I don't even know his name!) and Russ get along before fully committing to keep him during E's absence. Send good thoughts my way, would you?

Oh, you are going to have so much fun dogsitting him! And you know, you'll be buying one before it's all over. :)

What a classic basset face; eyes just begging for love! Good luck with the meet-n-greet. That Marine-in-training will feel better knowing his basset is in loving hands while he is gone. You better bulk up your own muscles though, cause I can see a tug-of-war over that basset when the Marine returns. As a dog person, I'd enjoy seeing some cute dog pictures when you start dogsitting.

Oh, he's adorable. I've wanted a Bassett for so long... When I have some time at home, you need to bring him over to play with Poopy!

What a cutie! I agree with CMG - you'll be welcoming your own Basset into your home. Can't wait to hear how it goes!
